Jump in the pit and fuck some shit up, this record is balls to the wall punk rock. Tons of crazy energy coming out of my speakers right now. Very fast and nasty vocals and pounding guitar behind it makes this an awesome release. Kind of bummed that this is only 3 songs but all 3 of these songs sound amazing. If you’re a fan of punk rock then you’ll love this record. The B-side of this record “The Other” starts off with a nice bass intro into guitar then the drums start into something really heavy, about 2 ½ minutes into the song then the vocals kick in at it is amazing. My favorite song on this 7 inch is “The Other” and you should go check these guys out Midwestern punk soon to blow up. Just check out the label they’re on with good backing and a solid tour that would put these guys on the map. Also if you’re lucky enough to snag one on white vinyl cheers to ya! (XbezerkerX)

Some of you are already familiar with Milwaukee’s BURNING SONS but for those who are not let me bring you up to speed. BURNING SONS were the first and only band in decades to impress the folks at Mystic Records (Aggression, RKL, Scared Straight, etc.) enough to invest their money in a “new band”. Not that these guys are young… Burning Sons is made up of old school punks who have been active in the scene since the 1980′s. In fact their drummer Dan runs an independent record store (Rushmore Records) and has been stocking releases from labels like Profane Existence and Mystic for years now. They know the scene. They/ve done their time and their music proves it! It’s tight, fast, aggressive and punk as fuck. This is their third release and by far their best! Musically it reminds me of a slight mix between Discharge and Negative Approach while sounding completely origional at the same time. Lyrically they are dark and brooding. The disturbing artwork on the cover is really quite fitting. This is a solid package from start to finish with limited edition white vinyl, silver flood print on the inside cover and three songs that redefine the sound of Milwaukee punk. This is brand new!
GET IT HERE. GET IT NOW. BEFORE IT HITS THE STREETS.
*Comes with a bonus mystery LP from the Profane distro box.
BURNING SONS play a mid-paced punk rock with some rock n’ roll feel. The vocals are raspy and screamed and are well paired with the music. Their influences show pretty strongly in their music but they manage to to be influenced without trying to rip off other bands. This album is pretty straight forward with no innovation here but you don’t always have to reinvent the wheel with every album. They do a great job of writing music that is enjoyable to listen to and to pay homage to the bands they grew up listening to. There are seven songs on here making it a quick listen. Despite its shortness for a full length it feels complete and doesn’t leave you unsatisfied. This album is a winner with more ups than downs and is worth giving it a good listen if you like some no frills punk rock. (Travis Assault)
