Northwest Indiana band DOGMA is total straight up meat n potatoes Midwest hardcore, and this demo CD-R is proof of that fact. Five shredding songs in just as many minutes, this hardcore is a full on assault of the senses. No fluff and no filler, DOGMA is pure heavy hardcore. No little kids singing in their mom’s garage, this guy sounds like he weighs 300 lbs and is 6’6” tall! The intro is chaotic in an impressive way, and after about 40 secs, drops into the pummeling hardcore that this band provides., and never lets up again until the beast is dead. At times I hear AGNOSTIC FRONT but with a heavier sound and production, courtesy of Eddie Cantu from Joliet Illinois. DOGMA started in 2012 with 3 guys who had been playing in other bands together for a while. Good lyrics, included in fold – out poster sheet. Artwork done by the band’s drummer. This CD is highly recommended, but put the disc on repeat so you don’t miss any of the details in the short 5.5 minutes that this monster plays. Looking forward to a full length, or perhaps a vinyl 7”!

here is a hardcore split from Indiana recorded between 2010 and 2011. Rat Storm is a female fronted band that brings 4 songs on their side, one of which deals with rape and how serious the issue is. they rock the fastcore approach, with crisp production and enough breakdowns to keep it interesting, with clear explanations of the songs. Chaotic Neutral is a 5-piece that plays 4 songs of classic punchy Midwest hardcore. this is a good record to have if you like hardcore / fastcore. a joint release from Dead Rodent Records, Reality is a Cult Records, and Get Better Records.

Queer-positive fastcore from Bloomington, IN. Is there slogan and it fits 12 very fast and pissed off songs standing up for equal human rights. Jumping right into this record is “Under The Radar” 50 seconds of pure of pissed off punk talking about bands reusing the recycling the same ideas and not make up there own. One of my personal favorites is “Gay Majority” which they are talking about all the people out there talking about anti-gay camps and people out there trying to spread gods words about homosexuality. The longest track on this record is a “WARPATH” cover of “Abomination” which I didn’t think would be as good as WARPATH but it was amazing. This record has a screen printed cover and back also the B-side is screen printed clear vinyl with pink ink is what my copy looks like also there is a pink vinyl with pink ink as well. Stamped on the inner sleeve is the slogan “Reality is a cult, everything is a Conspiracy”. Check these guys out follow the links and buy or download this! (XbezerkerX)
