This is Rachael Resist. I am the newest intern for Profane Existence. Ben Crew wanted to do a promo with my album that I just released in April. It’s not punk, but it’s one of the roots of punk and that is country music. I have been known to still do basement shows though….I have also played at the PE warehouse for Art-a-Whirl. If you like old roots country like Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, or Patsy Cline…you might like what I do. It’s still underground music and I am still as punk as I was in 1987.
So, if you order this, you get my album, Rachael and The Ranch Hand Resistance, and my favorite PE t-shirt….Defenders of the Faithless …always making punk a threat again!
Lisa Root has done an excellent job with this new endeavor. I was a huge fan of Hails and Horns Magazine, which she was the editor of until the magazine went under in February. Then she comes out, fists blaring, with this New Noise Magazine, which, in my opinion, is far better than Hails and Horns. New Noise encompasses a much broader range of music, but still has a lot of your favorite metal bands included. This issue has bands ranging from Municipal Waste to Kylesa, and has a few bands that are even new to me that I hadn’t heard of before(very appropriate for a magazine entitled “New Noise.”) The articles are well written and some of the photographs are absolutely captivating. I am looking forward to the next issue already. (rachael resist)
