First off I love this band had the pleasure of seeing them once in St. Paul. IN DEFENCE opened up for them and it was awesome. So when I got this you can’t imagine how excited I was. So this record has 2 songs 1 on each side, so kind of a sweet throwback to 45’s large hole included. When I first got the record I noticed that it has a screenprinted cover which is awesome plus it’s on a dark purple wax. So with this release there are 2 bad ass tunes first is “Nineteen”. A really good distorted vocals with blistering guitar behind very low-fi recording sounds very DIY to me. Like they recorded it in a basement or something. Side B is called “Things Fall Apart” the shorter of the two tracks but still has the low-fi recording quality with gritty vocals. Any punk rocker would like this f you like fast gritty fast punk rock plus when the B side stop it has a repeating groove which are always funny to have on a record. I LOVE BILL BONDSMEN that is all. The first thing that caught my eye was the name MIKE IX WILLIAMS for being a fan of EYEHATEGOD. I was super excited to get home and listen to it right away. As the title track “Razorblade Express” starts off with really heavy guitars and then goes super fast into a fast as hell blast beat then slows back down then goes right back into it. Super intense beginning plus this track had the guest vocals on it. Next is “Messiah Whore” same thing super fast and super brutal track with crushing vocals all over that. Side A ends with “Holes in the Wall” and just like the last two tracks this sums up and amazing A side to the record. I flip this bad boy over and am pounded with another track with MIKE IX on it called “3rd Space Gorilla Generator” again a sweet track which is a little slowed down from the rest of the tracks, really heavy and doom sounding to start off this side then all of a sudden goes far left and let the grind begin. “Rat Factory” is next more of the grind with super fast and well put together guitar. Lastly there is “Slaughter Intelligence” which is the shortest track on the whole record, but it does not disappoint at all. For Fans of PHOBIA, EYEHATEGOD and EXHUMED. (XbezerkerX)
Well what I got here is a 2 song demo from MESSENGERS. First track is called “Laid To Waste” which is a nice minute and a half of very fast guitar riffs with some very angry vocals laid down on top of it reminds me of INTEGRITY. Pretty much any hardcore band that is coming out right now very heavy and very angry and very well put together. Track number 2 is called “Rotting Away” which is the better of both songs. This would go perfect on a Toxic Breeds Funhouse Comp. So if you’re into heavy, dark, angry hardcore with the breakdowns this is for you. I do apologize though I do not have any info for the band no site no nothing. (XbezerkerX)
7″ Unfold Me out soon.
Spreading Evictions is a two piece crust band from California is what I found out there is no info on the cd or outside cover. It was really hard to tell what there name is by there logo all I could read out was egoism on the cover. So after all that I put the cd in to listen to it and all the tracks are instrumental which are not bad but there’s no vocals and to me why make music without vocals it has no meaning then. All 7 tracks sound pretty much the same. Crust without vocals what’s the point? (XbezerkerX)
First nice screenprinted cover inside and out. Second stamped center labels if this isn’t DIY then what is? So I put this record on the player and wow this is some very heavy and very fast music. Starting off the record is a song called “Abwesend” no clue what it means but it’s an amazing start to this record. Next is “No Time” a little slower then the first song but equally heavy very thrashy feel for the guitar and very doomy vocals. I am loving this so far time to flip this record over. The secod side starts off with “Licht” which the record is named after and this song does not disappoint . This has a very good sound to it reminds me of ENGLISH DOGS. Lastly there is “Stuff V” a last helping of doomy thrash to leave you wanting more from these guys. Be on the lookout for these guys in America. (BerzerkerX)
Ready to get your asshole blown away by some no frill straightforward Grind. This 2 piece band hail from the sewers of Minneapolis to pulverize your ear drums with some short but sweet morsels of blast beats that are put together so you can actually listen to it. Unlike some of those so called grind bands out there that use drum machines this drummer is insane behind the kit the faster the better for him. Not to leave the vocals out with screams, growls and groans. With song titles like “Mystery Grind Theater” “Macho Madness” and “Blast The Crusher”, to name a few nothing over the top with titles or images they let the music speak for itself. I personally love all the wrestling references they have and logos they do. If you like grind in the ways of BACKSLIDER and Faction X Disaster then you’ll love these guys always touring the Midwest look for these guys best served live. (Berzerker)
