AUS ROTTEN – “The System Works For Them” LP
In 1996 AUS-ROTTEN released their first LP “The System Works For Them” on an unsuspecting punk scene. It spread like wildfire in a pre internet era within a genre that mostly depended on tape trading. (at least is was pre internet for us penniless punks) “The System Works For Them” was the perfect mix of anger and intelligence that the scene needed at the time (and still does today). It was like a wake up call that opened the eyes and ears to many punks the world over. The messages where crystal clear and most us were hooked as soon as the beginning shouts of “Boycott” bellowed over the speakers. I don’t believe any of us ever expected their message to resonate so well within the scene, but even more surprising is how the songs are just as relevant today as on they the day they were written. Which is why PROFANE EXISTENCE has decided to repress this record. We feel that that messages that AUS-ROTTEN brought to the table are to powerful to ignore. We feel that this LP is important and therefore should be highly available and priced affordably. We feel that those that would charge over exorbitant prices on eBay or Discogs have forgotten the message.
PROFANE EXISTENCE has worked this out to ever last detail of this release with the members of AUS-ROTTEN whom have been involved from step one. All tracks have been re-masted by Jay Matherson at the Jamroom studios. To be 100% honest we didn’t want to do a complete re-master of what we already considered a good recording. However when we opened the tracks on protools we noticed a few balance issues that required fixing. These fixes resulted in a tremendous upgrade to the overall quality of the tracks. We painstakingly scanned, puzzled, and photoshopped the original artwork to make sure that it was as close to authentic as it could possible be. We then went for broke by pressing in three different vinyl color combinations! Overall to say that we are pumped to release this would be an understatement, we are absolutely ecstatic to bring you this LP on PROFANE EXISTENCE!

DÖDLÄGE – “Ritual Slaughter” LP
Crushing D-Beat Kångpunk behind a raw wall of distortion! For those unfamiliar with one of Portland’s better kept secrets, prepare to be crushed! DÖDLÄGE are a raw grind/crust band that belt out old school crust the way it was meant to be played! Highly influenced by Swedish Kångpunk (the word DÖDLÄGE is Swedish for “Deadlock”), you can expect a large Scandi influence. DÖDLÄGE mix the more raw eras of ANTI-CIMEX with the earlier years of crust/grind bands like EXTREME NOISE TERROR and DISRUPT. You might be thinking thats it’s be done before, and it has… but every once in a while a band does it right! DÖDLÄGE are able to maintain a fine balance of bringing something fresh to the table while taking you back to the earlier glory years of the genre. ”Ritual Slaughter” is sixteen ear bleeding tracks of raw crust/grind that will have you banging your fist and grinding your teeth while craving for more!

ISKRA – “Ruins” LP
Prepare to be devastated!“Ruins” is ISKRA’s third studio album and by far their best one yet. Recorded in February 2014, Ruins was engineered and produced in true DIY fashion by ISKRA’s own drummer Cody Baresich. The album was then mastered for vinyl at Sweden’s CUTTING ROOM by Martin Ankelius.”Ruins” contains 10 punishing songs with lyrics ranging from anarchist theory, military drone strikes on civilian populations, historic native american battles against european colonialism, and a yearning to be free from draconian laws. Combined with over the top riffs, devastating blast beats, pulverizing toms, and the occasional dive bomb this LP will leave your speakers smoldering. Not only is this one of the most intense records PROFANE EXISTENCE has ever done it, is also one of the most beautiful presentations we have seen in recent years. The stark mountainous cover resembles Middle Earth artwork but the real gem is the 11in x 11in 12 page booklet inside. Printed on glossy paper, this booklet contains not just lyrics but very thorough explanations of each song. This vinyl release is financed by a number of DIY labels from around the united states and Canada. They’ve stepped outside their usual boundaries of crust punk and taken their sound to another level of raw, heavy, guitar-solo-laden scathing hardcore punk. The added guitar player only adds another layer to the injury. CETASCEAN achieves a new level of brutality, incorporating elements of stenchcore, swedish hardcore, sludge, and blackened raw punk. INDOCTRINATE “…And All Hail To Progress And Efficiency” EP
Well, time to get off your lazy arse and initiate a moshpit in the middle of your living room. Leave all your prejudices, right-winged ideologies, animal cruelty and authoritarian ideas at the door or be completely destroyed by the brutal force Indoctrinate is.
Indoctrinate is a band from Vienna (Austria) which plays furious d-beat hardcore and throw a few metal and grindcore influences in their sound as well, just to make things worse. This results in a malapert 7″ that has a lot of power.
The single opens with a speech about the use and abuse of prisons, followed by the song ‘August 19’. What strikes me the most in this track, is the musical quality. The mix of punk and metal makes this an awesome song that might become one of my favourites in the genre.
‘That’ll Be The Day’ opens with a speech about slavery and oppression. This song shows the same songwriting abilities as the other side, though it is a lot slower.I’m quite stunned by these Austrians. This is not just brutal hardcore; this is extreme music from a surprising high quality, blending several of the extreme genres and turning them into a tremendous face-slap for your concience.
Indoctrine clearly is a threat to society but that’s a good thing, this society needs to be destroyed and start over…

KATA SARKA bring the blackened crust while BODDICKER plays aggressive grindcore influenced crust punk. Recorded by Carl Byers in Detroit April – May of 2012, this one is highly recommended if you like your crust with lots of blast beats. Both bands currently reside in the Indianapolis / Detroit areas.
KATA SARKA’s first release was way back in 2010, an EP called Riding a Wind of Knives. Via a prodigious recording schedule, theyve released 5 eps / splits and one LP in 3 years, the DAVID LEE GORGOROTH split being the 5th. With black metal song structure / riffage and crusty vocals, this band slays all standing in their way. Im not able to understand everything being said, and there is minimal info about them on the record, but in the song Mired in Spleen (which also appears on their newest 7″), they chant “liberation”, perhaps referring to animal lib. A great guitar solo is also buried in the song. Poaching The Boar is non-stop intensity from start to finish, and some of the guitar riffs feel a bit introspective like good black metal does. If KATA SARKA toured out to Victoria BC and played a show with ISKRA, Ive got a feeling the PA would melt by the time the night was over! according to their bandcamp page, their full length endeavor title Existential Oblivion was released March of 2012.
BODDICKER unleash a powerful fury of blazing guitars, amped up bass, gruff vokills, and fast as fuck drums. Plenty of good grooves from these bong heroes and socially conscious lyrics to boot. This is Boddickers 2nd recording, and have released 2 more split 7″s since. Theyve released 4 songs on this one, all brutal with an in-your-face aggression. Insert comes with recording information, and lyrics, and gangland style band photo. Very Intense!

DIRTY KID DISCOUNT – “Sharpen Your Knives as Evil Threatens the Land” EP
From Portland Oregon comes this 6 piece powerhouse right off the busy busking corners of the Pacific Northwest. Playing a kind of punk rock thats not quite gypsy, and not quite crust, but totally anarchist, this is a great adition to the PROFANE EXISTENCE label. Instruments such as accordian, 2 mandolins, and a washboard accompany the more conventional RnR instruments, and everyone in the band sings the songs. There is a ton of different influences prevalent in DIRTY KID DISCOUNT ranging from acoustic gypsy to ripping crust. The drums hit a double time sequence in the song Solomon’s Circle, and vocal style ranges from olde timey ballads to “cookie monster” gruff. Lyrically, this record covers two very obvious issues prevalent within punk rock; that is religion / ignorance caused by such, and green activism / environmentalism. The EP title is a reference to the song “Argoth”, a ballad about the horrors of the logging industry. I would call this style GYPSY CRUST, and recommend for those who like such bands as: MISCHIEF BREW, RUM REBELLION, ABSINTHE ROSE, etc. Limited Edition color vinyl is coke bottle clear. this is the 9th installment of the PROFANE EXISTENCE LIMITED EDITION 7″ SERIES.PRESSING INFO:Released 2013Out of Print |

Chances are that if you read Profane Existence, that you’ve heard of WARTORN. In fact, I’ll bet that you’re a fan as well, because, well, you’re only human and these legends from Wisconsin are a crust force not to be fucked with. This is the third installment of the Profane Existence Limited Edition Singles Series and these two tracks are worth every cent. Side A, Domestic Terrorist, starts of rolling in a slow dirge. Long, drawn out and dirty. After a few minutes, one of the guitars takes off in a Wisconsin style d-beat fury, immediately followed by the rest of the band. Shit’s in high gear now and doesn’t let up until the final note with Bitty howling his trademark short sharp lyrics. The B side, Under Oath, doesn’t even give you a second to adjust your butt-flap or open another bottle of rotgut before you’re assaulted with a tidal wave size wall of guitars being pushed ahead by manic drumming. The riffing on this side strays from d-beat into some nice mid 80s thrash and is rounded out by some blazing solos that’ll have you playing air guitar like you thought you were Hot Lixx Hulahan!
