Not skipping a beat since being back from tour “La Armada” is hosting their Release show for the “Crisis EP” this Saturday the 14th at Prosper Skate Park with some south side Chicago Staples like Sin Orden, Animalia, Brick Assasin and new comers Foreign Policy. Don’t be an asshole, go support if you’re in the area.
We have linked up with Dominican Republic’s (by way of Chicago) “La Armada” to release their new EP titled “Crisis”. This brand new effort from the band has six original songs and a “Bad Brains” medley that will rip you to shreds. Each record comes with a screen printed poster and assorted colored vinyl. The first 100 pre orders come with a hand stamped and numbered “Unbaptismal Certificate” so you can join the band on their quest for eternal flame. Check back tomorrow (4/22) to get your hands on one of these!

this summer, 2014, the eastern regions of Amerikkka and Canaduh will be presented with yet another great band from the UK. The band in discussion at this particular time is CRESS, an anarchist squatter punk band from England, that had a limited yet high quality output of material in the mid 90s – early 2000s. Perhaps you’ve heard of them, perhaps not, but I’m sure you would be interested to know they shared a split 10″ with DOOM, which should be sought out immediately, cuz its a fuckin rager!
APPALACHIAN TERROR UNIT is an incredibly talented band from W. Virginia that play a mix of thrash and crust punk, heavily influenced by SACRILEGE with the lyrical prowess of AUS – ROTTEN, BEHIND ENEMY LINES, CRASS, etc. ATU were lucky enough last year to grace the stage with legendary CONFLICT in Chicago, and Pittsburgh (?), which must have been an incredible time. in my opinion, one of the best on PROFANE EXISTENCE RECORDS
The tentative dates at the moment are for the month of July, starting July 2nd, and ending July 21st, more information will be provided on ATU’s facebook page, so check there. Also you can find all sorts of recent political / social actions on their page, so definitely check that out. This will be CRESS’ first time in the USA, so check out their music, and get with the program; they’ve got a damn good and very unique sound. They need as much fan support as possible so that they have a good time this side of the ocean!
THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL FIND MORE INFORMATION:
a website with all of CRESS music, downloadable for free (get yer flash drive out!):
ALSO, be on the lookout for a DOOM TOUR in amercia / canada in support of their newest album CORRUPT FUCKING SYSTEM
A sample of what’s to come on the PE single release of the War//Plague e.p. “Primal”
We’ll be having a limited run of the Organize and Arise shirts for the July 20th gig,
so get…while the gettin’s good! (there will be patches available as well)
Organize and Arise along with Profane Existence will be setting up shop at Cause Spirits and Soundbar in Uptown Minneapolis to celebrate 25 years of MISERY as they play two gigs. One all ages show and a later 21+ show. Needless to say, this will be a record release show for DESPISE and WAR//PLAGUE, along with many other bands.
So we just wrapped up our tracking last week and now have Brad at Audiosiege in Portland doing the mix and I’ve gotta say…this is by far the best experience and sound we’ve ever had! We’re planning to do two separate albums with this session. Our first priority in releasing these tracks is to get our single out for the PE series that’s running this year. I believe we’re in line to be #7 and already have the art and title sorted out….but sorry, you gotta wait 😉
The next release is based on a mere concept we had some time back and will be a 4 song 12″ with a sort of back story. We’ve been really hitting the ground running as a band and feel that we not only want to write music, but we really want to put our minds and energy into something that’s not just “another record”. I’m not quite sure what that means, but after doing this for so many years, you really start to recognize how important the music can be and what kind of effect it has on yourself and others.
So, to say that we’ve just begun would be putting it lightly. Tons of ideas, and tons of support from all over. Cheers to the DIY community and everyone involved to make this place better by contributing in one way or another. Punk is a way to get a message and a feeling out to the world, and damn it feels good! Cheers
